When we realised our flight from New York was going to arrive into Los Angeles at 10pm we decided to book an airport hotel rather than driving directly to Anaheim. We were delighted to find Embassy Suites Los Angeles International Airport North Hotel has great accessibility.
I wasn’t expecting much from an airport hotel, especially when our last hotel had been the fabulous Hotel Beacon in New York. My requirements were simple – a hotel close to the airport with a two room suite. The Embassy Suites LAX International Airport North turned out to be a complete surprise.
The hotel provides a complimentary airport-hotel shuttle, which is wheelchair accessible (advise the hotel ahead of time if you require the accessible shuttle), the hotel has ADA compliant rooms (see link below for the menu of rooms) and they have an accessible pool and spa with a seat lift into both.
Arriving after 11pm all we wanted was a good night’s sleep in a comfortable room so it was lovely to walk into spacious, well appointed rooms. A cooked breakfast is included in the room rate, including a design your own omelette which is my favourite thing about a cooked breakfast.
The kids loved the spacious accommodation, the glass lifts and the free WIFI.
This is an airport hotel so there’s some plane noise nearby but it didn’t bother us.
This was a great hotel and had more facilities than we required for our overnight stay. The next morning Hubby walked to the Hertz car depot which was only three blocks easy walk. This saved the kids and I waiting while paperwork was completed and also avoided taking our luggage with us to the depot.
The kids would have loved to have a dip in the pool but Disneyland was calling.
We didn’t stay in an ADA compliant room but there is plenty of information on the Embassy Suites’ website if you are interested.
