Lake Parramatta Reserve is a a small park but a pleasant spot for a smaller outing. Lots of families seem to spend a day here but for us it is more a place we would go for a couple of hours. It’s hidden away but only about 5 minutes from the centre of Parramatta.
The reserve is a tranquil setting with an accessible cafe, accessible toilet facilities and a Liberty Swing. There are bbq facilities and a small playground near the Liberty Swing. There are extensive bushwalks which are not wheelchair accessible but there is a small paved walk around the lake.
Feeding the ducks is a popular past time so if you’d like to do that take something with you. In school holidays they get lots of attention so some days, even the ducks have reached their food limit!
There is parking, shaded covered table and chairs spread out throughout the park.
