Perth Airport Changing Places bathroom

For travellers needing a Changing Places bathroom when travelling through Perth Airport the good news is there’s two on offer. I popped into the Changing Places bathroom located on the ground floor of the International Terminal which is also close to the domestic Virgin Australia check in area.

Knowing how much the availability of a hoisted adult-size change table means to many of our readers I was really happy to have the opportunity to check out this bathroom.

Signage is good within the airport but you do need to keep an eye out as the Changing Places bathroom is tucked away just near the lift and escalators.

Access to the bathroom is via a MLAK key. We have a MLAK attached to Braeden’s wheelchair so we can access any locked bathroom facilities. If you don’t have a MLAK you’ll need to seek assistance from airport staff to open the facility for you.

Please keep in mind Western Australia residents who have a Companion Card are entitled to a free MLAK. For travellers or visitors who haven’t heard of the MLAK, or if you are keen to know how to get one, I explain all you need to know in this review.

Once you have unlocked the bathroom with the MLAK, a push button offers entry to the Changing Places bathroom. As with many of these doors it stays open for that little bit too long but does provide ease of access. Make sure you lock the door once it closes.

The Perth Airport Changing Places bathroom provides a ceiling hoist, height adjustable adult-size change table, privacy screen for the toilet, grab rails, shower bench and grab rails on both sides of the toilet. As always, the Changing Places bathroom offers exceptional circulation space and facilities.

This bathroom facility was absolutely spotless which was refreshing.
